Winter Holiday In Slovakia -Low Tatras, Jasna

This trip will give you the chance to try out many of the winter activities in the magnificent Tatra Mountains!

Based in Demanovska valley every day doing a different activity. There are number of ski areas which you can choose from. These slopes are suitable for beginners but also for more experienced skiers. We will also try snowshoeing, dog sledding and of-course visit one of the most beautiful Slovak caves Demanovska. There is also a great adventure such as swim in out-door thermal pool. This is a perfect place for relaxation!

1.) TRAVEL TO SLOVAKIA
Transfer to mountain resort Jasna in Low Tatras

2.) SNOWSHOEING
Snowshoeing isn't difficult at all and, although you might feel a little unstable at first, you will discover that it is much easier to climb even a fairly steep slope with an ease. Snowshoes will allow you to get where skiers would not be able to get to. Your group leader will give you a quick lesson on how to put on your snowshoes and how to use them with pair of poles....and you are ready to explore secrets of hidden woods away from the civilization walking on a deep powder snow.

3.) DOG SLEDDING
You have an opportunity today to try this extraordinary mean of transport. We will drive to quiet part of Tatra Mountains, Ziarska valley, deep into the forest on a large meadow where the snow is ideal for huskies to run. Mushers will teach you correct and safe way of dog sledding. You will learn the secret words which only husky dogs understand so you can lead them. We will make a fire and do some grilling. There is a restaurant built in traditional highlander's style where you can warm up, and taste some Slovakian specialties.

4.) SKIING OR SNOWBOARDING
Today you will try Slovakian powdery snow. Jasna offers many ski slopes for all levels, where you will find great conditions for winter sports. On the well maintained slopes you will find everything you need to have a great winter adventure. You have a choice to spend a day either on skies or on snowboard. First stop will be at the rental shop to get right equipment. Our guide together with rental technicians will be on hand to make sure you get the correct gear. If you are a beginner you will join a lesson aimed at your level of ability while proficient skiers are free to ski. You can practice skiing / snowboarding all day, explore the area, warm up at one of the cafés and try some local specialties.

5.) SKIING OR SNOWBOARDING & DEMANOVSKA CAVE
This morning you will return to ski slope to get more practice and confidence on skies /snowboard. After the lunch we will take a short transfer to Demanovska cave. It is one the real treasures of Slovakia. The national nature monument of the Demanovska Cave stands out by its unbelievable variety of colors and shapes of flowstone fills, unique water lilies and other forms of flowstone decoration. It is the most visited show cave in Slovakia

6.) FREE MORNING, THERMAL POOLS & NIGHT SLEDDING
This morning you have free to relax or explore nearby area by yourself. After lunch you will transfer to the village of Besenova for relax in one of the most famous Thermal pool resorts in Slovakia. Snow, cold and frost turn into a perfect feeling of cosiness at Thermal pool with warm steaming water. After skiing and other winter activities your body will get warm again and you will feel the rush of new life energy after staying in thermal pool or sauna. The water-slides and other attractions will provide fun and excitement.
Tonight after it gets dark you will try adventure of night sledding. This is a great fun for both adults and children as you whiz downhill on small sledges trying to stay on, overtake and avoid others.

7.) FREE DAY
This is your free day and you can do things on your own.

8.) DEPARTURE
Transfer back to the airport
