7.11 Zomer avontuur in de Lage Tatras

Deze tocht geeft u de kans om vele verschillende zomeraktiviteiten uit te proberen in het fantastische Tatra gebergte!

1.) AANKOMST IN SLOWAKIJE
vervoer naar Jasna per minibus (cca. 3 uur).

2.) OPENLUCHT MUZEUM, SCHAPEN EN PAARDEN BOERDERIJ
We ondekken de kultuur en tradities van de regio door een bezoek aan het openlucht muzeum van het dorp Liptov in Pribilina. Het muzeum laat perfect een traditioneel dorp zien aan de voet van het Tatra gebergte, met alles wat een dorp nodig heeft ( houten huizen, een school, een kerk, een traditioneel café...). Iedere zondag heeft een thema, waar we een realistische presentatie kunnen zien van het leven van honderd jaar geleden. We kunnen hiervan ook deel uitmaken: grootmoeders keuken, pottenbakkers workshop, herders, volksdansen...                                                                                     Salas Ziar - De Ziar boerderij is gelegen aan de voet van het Tatra gebergte op een rustig weiland tussen de bossen. Een prachtige plek om te ontspannen luisterend naar de schapenbellen en paarden. Een herder verteld ons over de geheimen van het schapen hoeden, melken van de schapen en kaasmaken. Hier kunnen we zelf proberen om de schapen te melken. We rijden tevens te paard rondom de boerderij. Er zijn vele spelen met hout en er is een speelplaats voor kinderen. Houd u van will discover traditions and culture of this region by visiting Open Air Museum of Liptov Village in Pribilina. Museum is set to a perfect display oftraditional village bellow the Tatra Mountains with all it should have (wooden houses, school, church, traditional old pub...) Every Sunday has its themewhere we can see real presentation of life hundred years ago and take a part in it: Grandmas kitchen, potters workshop, shepherds, folk dance...
Salas Ziar - the farm of Ziar is set right on the foothills of the Tatra Mountains in beautiful quiet meadow hidden between the forests. Fantastic place to relax, listen to the sounds of sheep bells and horses. There is a shepherd who will tell us the secrets of sheep, milking and cheese making. We can try to milk the sheep ourselves; we will go for horse ride around the farm. There are plenty of wood games and playground for children. Do you fancy adrenalin competition of wood cutting, hammer a nail or do you want to learn how to work with real whip? We can also learn with children how to make a fire on one of the open fire places.Traditional restaurant with delicious Slovak specialties and different sheep's milk products is part of the farm

3.) BEAR WATCHING AND TREKKING, TREASURE HUNT
Bear watching and trekking, Treasure Hunt. This morning we will start our hiking expedition with professional hunter guide who will take us right into the center of wildlife. We will enter secret bear territory and follow the bear footsteps. Our guide will help us to get on the right paths from which with the highest possibility animal can be seen to make our hike successful. We will also have a chance to see fox, squirrel, many different birds, taste blueberries, raspberries, and cranberries and learn which mushrooms are eatable.
This late afternoon there will be a real treasure hunt nearby our hotel for all children!

4.) CYCLING, CAVE VISIT
Cycling, Demanovska Cave of Liberty. We will take a gentle bike ride along the Jasna valley through the wood. Breathing a fresh air and admiring surrounding green countryside from the bike seat will be real adventure for all ages. This afternoon we will visit one the real treasures of Slovakia. The national nature monument of the Demanovska Cave of Liberty stands out by its unbelievable variety of colours and shapes of flowstone fills, unique calcite water lilies and other lacustrine forms of flowstone decoration. It is the most visited show cave in Slovakia.

5.) RIVER RAFTING, ARCHERY
River rafting, Archery. Rafting on river Vah will test our team work, strength and orientation. The river Vah invites for downriver boat trips, with the most beautiful sections being in the Povazie and Liptov regions. It will be less demanding ride, where we also relax and learn about local fish and birds. This afternoon - archery

6.) CHAIR LIFT TO CHOPOK, THERMAL POOLS BESENOVA

Chopok (2024 m) is the highest peak of Low Tatra Mountains. Comfortable chair lift will take us almost to the top. From the chair lift and the top of Chopok we can get the best view of Tatra Mountains, Liptovska Mara Lake and all northern Slovakia. There is a real mountain hut at the top of Chopok, which is famous for Tatra Sherpa's. If we are lucky, we can meet one carrying loads up to the hut.
This afternoon we will spend in relaxing thermal pools in Besenova. The healing effects of the thermal mineral springs have been known since the 14th century. There are many water attractions for children and adults.

7.) FREE DAY
Today we will have many activities to choose from.

8.) DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport.You will be based in a mountain valley of Demanovska, every day doing a different activity. All activities included in this trip take place in Low Tatras. Discover the open air museum and see how Slovaks used to live in the old times. Raft on one river Vah. You will also have a chance to see Brown Bears in their natural environment. On bikes we will also see many hidden parts of Low Tatras, discovering mountain streams with crystal clean water and most of all we will take a chair lift and get to the very top of Low Tatras. After our walks we will relax in thermal pools Besenova, which is a great place for relaxation. The healing waters will do just that.
